How big do goldendoodles get?

The average goldendoodle grows to stand 20 to 24 inches at the shoulder. Most goldendoodles are the result of breeding poodles and golden retrievers, and the specific traits inherited from each parent are not standardized. Few goldendoodle offspring come from two goldendoodle parents.
A small standard goldendoodle is 17 to 20 inches tall and weighs 40 to 50 pounds. The large version stands up to 24 inches in height and runs 50 to 90 pounds. A tiny version of the goldendoodle comes from breeding a miniature or toy poodle with a golden retriever. Typically, these dogs weigh 15 to 35 pounds and are only 13 to 20 inches at the shoulder.
