How big is Pluto?
By Forinfos - 03/03/2025 - 0 comments
Pluto has an average radius of 715 miles. The planetary body is 20 percent smaller than Earth and it has a diameter of 1,430 miles.
Pluto's equator is approximately 4,494 miles around. Unlike the planets in the solar system, Pluto does not bulge at its equator. For this reason, its radius is the same at its poles and at its equator. The planet is believed to have a rocky core that is completely covered in ice. It also is believed to have an atmosphere that can retain heat so that its temperature fluctuates as it gets closer to the sun during its revolutions.
