Which billionaires have opened up their homes for public viewing?

Billionaires' estates are typically not open for public viewing. However, a move by the California Coastal Commission in July 2015 gives the public access to a path to the previously secluded coastline called the "Billionaire's Beach," which is home to the properties of billionaires David Geffen and Jamie McCourt.
Information on billionaires' homes become available when the owners, the designers or the properties are featured in news stories and interviews, such as when Greek billionaire Alki David was asked to tear down the extension of his Knightsbridge property. Details on billionaires' mansions are also posted when the mansions are put up for sale.
