What is a BIN file?
By Forinfos - 26/05/2025 - 0 comments
The BIN file format is typically associated with binary files that are compressed. The format has many known uses, the most basic of which is as a generic binary file that games and applications use to store binary data.
Disc images are also typically stored in the BIN file format, though other file extensions are also associated with them. Depending on the program that generates it, a BIN file may be able to be opened with text editing software. As of 2014, binary files on Macintosh computers also use the BIN format and are used to send files over the Internet.
