What is biodiesel fuel?
By Forinfos - 29/01/2026 - 0 comments
Made from a mix of recycled cooking oil, soybean oil and animal fats, biodiesel fuel is a clean-burning replacement for petroleum-based diesel fuel. It meets strict fuel-quality guidelines and engine performance specifications, and it is covered by engine manufacturers’ warranties.
As of 2014, biodiesel fuel has been produced in U.S. plants for less than a decade, but it has already grown to more than a billion gallons annually, with a goal of serving 10 percent of the diesel transportation market of 40 billion gallons by 2022. According to the EPA, biodiesel fuel not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also tailpipe pollutants, one of the most dangerous pollutants in the United States.
