Is there a biography of Maria von Trapp?

Candice F. Ransom published a biography of Maria von Trapp in 2002 entitled “Maria von Trapp: Beyond the Sound of Music.” Additionally, the von Trapp family is the subject of several biographies, including “The World of the Trapp Family” by William Anderson and David Wade.

Maria von Trapp wrote several books of her own. Her 1949 memoir “The Story of the Trapp Family Singers” served as the basis for the 1959 Broadway musical and the 1965 film “The Sound of Music.” She is also the author of “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” a 1952 release detailing her family’s spiritual beliefs, as well as her 1972 autobiography, “Maria: My Own Story.”
