What is a black Turkish Angora?

A black Turkish Angora is a breed of long-haired cat recognized by the Cat Fancier's Association, which has a coat made up of nearly all black fur. According to the CFA, this breed is very intelligent and is one of the most outgoing and affectionate of all cat breeds.

Typically, Turkish Angoras are normally white or mostly white. However, the desire for more color options has increased. It is very common to see Turkish Angoras that are black, blue, red or tortoiseshell. Any of these colors and their combinations can be registered with the CFA as long as the colors do not denote hybridization.
