Do blind people see black?

Blind people do not see black, because blind people see nothing. Total blindness is a condition in which no visual signals are being received by the eyes or interpreted by the brain. Seeing the color black, defined as the absence of light, involves seeing in the first place.
One metaphor that is often used to make blindness understandable to sighted people is the sense that some animals, like geese, have of magnetic sense; that is, they can sense the magnetic fields of the planet in relation to magnetic north. Humans do not have a magnetic perception, but do not notice it as something that is missing.
