How do you block anonymous calls to your home phone?

Block anonymous calls by typing *77 on the keypad of your phone. When this service is activated, callers from anonymous numbers hear a pre-recorded message telling them to release their caller ID information and then call back.

  1. Pick up the receiver

    Pick up the receiver of the phone on which you do not want to receive anonymous calls. Wait until you hear a dial tone.

  2. Dial a code

    Dial *77 on the phone. Listen for a beep or confirmation message to let you know that the feature has been activated.

  3. Hang up

    Hang up the phone. The feature remains activated until you turn it off.
