Which bodies of water surround Germany?

Part of northeast Germany faces the North Sea, and part of northwest Germany faces the Baltic Sea. This country is mostly landlocked.
Germany's northern border does not entirely face the sea, as a corridor of land separates the North and Baltic Seas. This country shares borders with nine other European countries but, although most of it is landlocked, there are many lakes, large rivers and canals throughout its expanse. The Rhine and the Danube are the country's longest rivers. The Rhine flows into Germany from Switzerland, from where it continues into Holland, and the Danube originates in Germany's Black Forest region and flows into Austria. Its largest lakes are Chiem See, Müritz and Constance.
