How do you boil chicken?

To boil a chicken, wash it thoroughly, and put it in a large pot with all of the desired ingredients, such as chopped onion, carrots, celery, garlic cloves and bay leaves. Add enough water to the pot to cover the chicken, and cover the pot.

Set the burner on high heat, and bring the water to a boil. Tilt the lid to allow steam out of the pot. Turn the burner slightly down so that the water gently boils, and leave the chicken in the pot for 60 to 90 minutes. Check periodically to see if more water is necessary. Take the pot off the burner when the chicken starts falling from the bone. Take the chicken out, allow it to cool down, take off the skin, and remove the bones.
