Do bones burn during cremation?
By Forinfos - 03/11/2025 - 0 comments
During the cremation process, bones are only partially burned and not completely destroyed. The process involves subjecting the remains to intense flame and heat, during which all organic matter is consumed.
The cremation process leaves behind certain bone fragments. After the remains are removed from the cremation chamber, a magnet removes any metal that was inside the body, such as implants and dental fixtures. The remaining bone fragments are then processed into fine particles and placed into a container. The cremation process generally takes about three hours and entails a careful labelling system to ensure that the remains are properly identified through the entire process.
