Who has more bones in their necks: humans or giraffes?
By Forinfos - 02/10/2025 - 0 comments
Humans and giraffes actually possess the exact same number of all parts of their bodies, including the seven bones of the neck. This is because both species are members of the Mammalia class of organisms, which share an overall bone structure.
While the human neck is significantly more pliable than their giraffe counterparts, both bodies share the same general schema as all other mammals on the planet. The greatest difference is in the individual heights of each bone. In humans, these bones are usually 1 inch tall or less, while in giraffes, each vertebra can measure up to 11 inches tall.
