The majority of the books that can be sourced focus on Tubman as a historical figure, commenting on her last public appearance in 1908 and her involvement on the underground railroad. There is also a biography written by Catherine Clinton that provides more details about her life and background. Finally, there are a number of children's books; some of which are simplistic text books and others of which are cartoon strips or picture books, detailing her life in a more simple fashion.
