What are facts about the box terrier?
By Forinfos - 22/11/2025 - 0 comments
The box terrier is a cross between boxers and English bull terriers. Box terriers were bred in Brazil beginning in the 1980s. The intent was to produce a compact but fearless dog as protection against carjackers.
Because box terriers are not purebred dogs, puppies from the same litter can show marked variation in size and type. As both parent breeds are stocky, muscular dogs with short coats, high energy and fearless dispositions, box terriers usually have similar traits. Box terriers usually stand 19 to 23 inches tall and weigh 44 to 88 pounds. Coat colors vary, but most box terriers show some combination of white, black and brown.
