Where is British Columbia?

The Canadian province of British Columbia is located in western Canada. It is Canada's westernmost province, and it shares a border with three other Canadian provinces or territories and four U.S. states.

To the west of British Columbia is the Pacific Ocean, and to the south are the U.S. states of Washington, Idaho and Montana. To the east of British Columbia is the Canadian province of Alberta, and to the northwest is the U.S. state of Alaska. To the north of British Columbia is Canada's Yukon Territory, and to the northeast is Canada's Northwest Territories. The area was first explored by Captain James Cook in 1778.
