Broadband was invented in early 2000. Although the Internet has existed since 1970, broadband allows users to download files at faster connection speeds. In relation to 56k and dial-up technology, broadband is faster, does not disrupt telephone service and offers impressive connection strength.
In 2012, broadband technology witnessed advancements that transformed 3G mobile broadband technology into 4G broadband technology. The 4G mobile broadband technology offers an even stronger and faster connection. Cable broadband currently boasts connection speeds of up to 30 Mbps. The invention of broadband allows users to talk on the telephone and use the Internet simultaneously at ultra-fast speeds.
