What is a Burbank plum tree?

Burbank plum trees have bright green foliage, white flowers and low branches that are forked. They bloom early and begin producing plums at two to four years. The plums are red-purple and are ripe from July to August.

Burbank plum trees are fruit trees that grow to reach 10 to 35 feet in height. They thrive in full sun exposure and grow in a variety of soil. Burbank plum trees provide food and shelter for butterflies, larva, birds and mammals. They require little moisture during the growing season. Burbank plums should be planted 20 feet apart to give them adequate growing room.
