Do you have to buy tickets for the 9/11 Memorial?

The 9/11 Memorial is open to the public without an entrance fee or need to purchase tickets. From 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily as of 2015, the memorial park opens to visitors. A 45-minute guided tour of the 9/11 Memorial, however, costs $15 per person.

These tours provide the visitor with information on the symbolism of the memorial, the history of the World Trade Center and the events that occurred on September 11th. In addition to the tour available to the general public, the 9/11 Tribute center offers private tours to individuals who suffered a loss as the result of the events on September 11th.
