How do you calculate buoyancy?

Buoyancy is an objects ability float in a liquid and it is measured in terms of buoyant force, which is calculated with the following formula: buoyant force = pressure times area. Archimedes' principle is used to explain this phenomenon.
Simply stated, Archimedes' principle says that a submerged object's buoyant force is equal to the weight it displaces. Thus, the buoyancy of an object can be calculated by measuring the displaced liquid. This requires knowing the volume, height and area of a given body of fluid before an object is submerged, while also having tools to measure the displaced fluid after the object is submerged.
