How do you calculate a tip for a cab driver?
By Forinfos - 23/12/2025 - 0 comments
You should tip cab drivers between 15 and 20 percent of the cost of the fare. The tip may be larger or smaller depending on the cab driver’s quality of service, speed of the trip, or any special assistance rendered to the passenger.
You should give a bigger tip if the cab driver offers to help with baggage, arrives at the destination quickly, is polite and professional, or gives insider advice on local attractions. Conversely, passengers should tip less if the driver drives recklessly, is rude to other drivers, ignores the passengers, or does not offer to help with your luggage.
