As of 2015, the Internal Revenue Service of the United States posts the 1040A form in PDF format at IRS.gov. To access the printable form, simply click on 1040 under the Forms and Pubs section on the organization's home page.

The 1040A form is for U.S. residents and citizens filing individual federal tax returns. Filers who meet certain criteria, such as filing as an individual or married filing jointly, claiming no dependents, and a taxable income of under $100,000, can file their taxes using the shorter and simpler Form 1040EZ.

Filers who choose to use Form 1040EZ cannot claim any adjustments to income or tax credits except the Earned Income Credit, and they may not itemize deductions.
