The Library of Congress website offers a free online criminal law library. The Library of Congress offers the text of the United States federal criminal code and provides links to other resources that offer the text of criminal codes and procedures in the 50 states.
State criminal codes and procedures are available for free at the Legal Information Institute website, a service of the Cornell University Law School. A free Criminal Law and Justice Research Guide is available from the Georgetown University Law School Library website. The National Criminal Justice Reference System website also offers a virtual library that includes 220,000 collection records and more than 60,000 online resources.
