Can I apply olive oil to my hair?

You can apply olive oil to your hair to provide nourishment, condition the tresses, improve elasticity and strengthen it. Olive oil contains powerful antioxidants that remove build-up from the hair and protect hair follicles.

To apply olive oil to your hair, warm a tablespoon of the liquid, and use your fingertips to rub it into damp hair. Gently massage the scalp, and rub the olive oil into the length of the hair. Cover hair with a plastic bag, and secure it tightly with a hair clip. Allow the olive oil to remain for 30 minutes, and then rinse it out well with shampoo.
