Can you apply online for an Exxon gas card?

It is possible to apply for an ExxonMobil Smart Card online on Exxon.com. Consumers click on Gas Cards & Payment from the home page, and then click on Consumer Credit Card from the drop-down menu. The resulting page provides an Apply Now link to start the application process.

The ExxonMobil Smart Card allows cardholders to earn a rebate of up to 6 cents per gallon when purchasing fuel with the Exxon or Mobil logo, as of June 2015, notes Exxon.com. Cardholders purchasing at least 45 gallons of fuel per month qualify, and the rebate is good on up to 100 gallons each month. In addition, cardholders receive 24 cents off each gallon purchased during the first two months after approval.
