Where can you attend special effects makeup school?

There are hundreds of makeup schools around the world that offer courses or entire programs in special-effects makeup. Generally, these schools can be found in major cities.

Many of the premier special-effects makeup schools are located in or near major hubs of the film and fashion industries. For example, the Couture Academy of Modern Makeup Artistry is in Hollywood, Academia BSI is in Milan, and the Blanche Macdonald Centre is in Vancouver. Skills taught at these schools may include monster and creature makeup, prosthetics, music video, runway and fantasy courses. Special effects makeup artists are often employed for science fiction, horror or fantasy films and photo shoots.
