The American Society of Plastic Surgeons hosts a series of eyelid surgery before and after pictures on its website. The photos are of patients who underwent the surgery under the care of a board-certified plastic surgeon.

Eyelid surgery is performed to improve the appearance or correct the function of the eyelid, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Non-cosmetic eyelid surgeries are performed when loose skin of the upper eyelid sags over the eye and impairs vision. Cosmetic eyelid surgeries are conducted to treat fatty deposits that cause a puffy appearance, wrinkles on the lower eyelid and sagging lower eyelids that expose the white of the eye.
