Where can you buy a Gibson refrigerator?

A Gibson refrigerator made as recently as the 1990s might turn up at a garage sale, but antique Gibsons are much more popular and are available through such distributors as Antique Vintage Appliances and Restoration in Arizona. Frigidaire, Gibson's parent company, still produces refrigerators, but Gibson does not.

The Belding-Hall corporation, founded in 1877 to sell wooden ice chests, took the Gibson name in the early 1900s, but Electrolux Group purchased the company in 1986. Antique merchants include Gibson along with such other lines as Norge, Monitor Top, Leonard, Philco and Leonard. These merchants also often offer restoration and reconditioning of antique appliances.
