As of 2014, Morton's frozen doughnuts cannot be purchased anymore. All Morton products were discontinued in 2000 when the last production plant was closed down.
Morton frozen doughnuts were made by the Morton Frozen Foods brand. The frozen foods company began selling frozen doughnuts in the 1970s.
Harold Morton started the company in 1940. Originally, Morton Frozen Foods sold a chicken and noodle dish in glass jars. The company eventually expanded and started selling frozen foods after World War II. Some other popular Morton products were honey buns, potpies and cream pies.
ConAgra Foods was the last company to own Morton Frozen Foods.
