Can you buy new flathead crate engines from Ford?

New flathead crate engines are no longer available from Ford. Motor City Speed Equipment in Michigan manufactures a newly engineered block, and specialists such as H & H Flatheads and Flathead City, both in California, sell refurbished crate engines for hot-rodding applications.
The flathead V8 engine was produced by the Ford Motor Company from 1932 until it was replaced by the Y-block V8 engine in 1954. The flathead V8 continued to be made under licence by Simco in France until 1961 and in Brazil until 1990. It was included in Wards list of the 10 Best Engines of the 20th century.
