Where can you buy and sell personal items online?

As of March 2015, four of the biggest sites for buying and selling personal items online are eBay, Amazon, Craigslist and Bonanza. Craigslist is geared more to local pickups or deliveries, while the others are tailored to shipping items almost anywhere in the world.

eBay and Bonanza allow sellers to list nearly anything and offer a greater degree of customization of their listings. Amazon listings must match an item already listed on their site, unless the seller purchases an unused SKU with which to list it. Items can be sold by mail on Craigslist, but the site does not offer the mediation or security that other online selling options do.
