XMods, which are 1:28 scale radio-controlled vehicles made by Radio Shack, are able to be purchased at specialty RC shops, Radio Shack and online retailers such as Amazon. XMod radio-controlled cars are inexpensive and are fully upgradeable with modifications first released in 2003.

Accessories such as racetrack cones, extra tires, wheels and motors can be purchased. XMods cars have included the 1965 Ford Mustang, the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8, the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X and the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06. With upgrades and modifications, these small RC toys can get up to 40 miles per hour in speed.
