How can you calculate when the sunset will occur?

Calculate when the sunset will occur using the sunrise and sunset calculator on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association website. Two versions of the calculator are available through NOAA, with the newer one being more user-friendly.

To use the newer version of the NOAA sunrise and sunset calculator, use the interactive map. By clicking on the pins on the map, you can select a broad area and then zoom in using the scroll bar on the left-hand side of the page to pinpoint an exact location. If Daylight Saving Time is in effect, click the DST box to calculate the sunset time appropriately. The calculator will automatically show you the time of sunset at your set location.
