Can I check my text messages from another phone?

Text messages are not like voice mails and cannot be retrieved from any other device than the one in which the message was delivered to. This may change as technology advances, but for right now, text messages cannot be viewed from another phone.

One slight exception to this rule is the iMessage feature on iPhones and iPads. Using Apple's iCloud allows a user to sync their phone with all of the other Apple devices in one given home. Therefore, a person would be able to check their text messages not only from their iPhone but also from their iPad or even their home computer.
