Where can you find the Chevy rear-end gear ratio?
By Forinfos - 15/07/2025 - 0 comments
The Chevy rear-end gear ratio is found in the RPO code, which is located inside the door or glove-box of the vehicle. The exact location of the RPO code varies depending on the model of the vehicle.
The rear-end gear ratio, also known as the transaxle final drive, is represented by an RPO code. Each RPO code describes the final drive using a set of characters beginning with either F, G or H and ending with two characters, which can either be numbers or letters. The following lists shows examples of what RPO codes look like along with their respective final drives.
- F16 - 2.53
- F17 - 2.84
- F18 - 2.65
- F25 - 3.32
- F29 - 2.82
- F62 - 2.39
Other RPO codes and their final drives can be found on the Sierra Gear and Axle website.
