Where can you find a definition of the different types of leadership?

The website Chron has an article in their Small Business section written by Rose Johnson that defines and explains five different leadership styles entitled, "5 Different Leadership Styles." The five types of leadership she defines are Laissez-Faire, Autocratic, Participative, Transactional and Transformational.

Laissez-Faire style leaders have a very hands-off approach and work best with highly trained and experienced people. Autocratic leaders have all the power and make decisions without any input from their inferiors. Participative is a very democratic leadership style that values the input of everyone. Transactional leadership uses rewards and punishments based on performance. Transformational leaders are very involved and lead by active example.
