Can dogs eat cucumbers?

Dogs can eat cucumbers. It is best to peel a cucumber before feeding it to a dog, but it can be a healthy snack alternative to treats or junk food.
In moderation, many fruits and vegetables are great for dogs. Carrots and cucumbers in particular promote healthy kidney and liver function.
Dogs cannot consume the same amount of fruits and vegetables that humans can, so moderation is key. Avoid any kind of peppers. The peel or skin of many vegetables can be hard to digest. Grapes and raisins can cause kidney failure. Steer clear of any fruits that have pits, such as plums, peaches or apricots.
