Where can you download free W2 forms?

It is possible to download a blank copy of Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, from the Internal Revenue Service website. If you have worked for an employer who paid you more than $600 during the year, the employer must give you instructions for downloading your personalized W-2 form.

Employers must furnish employees with a completed W-2 form for the prior year, either electronically or on paper, by February 1 annually. The W-2 form is the official record of total employee earnings and taxes withheld, such as for Medicare or income tax. Employers must also send a copy of the W-2 to the IRS.
