Both freshwater and saltwater fishing are permitted in the Everglades National Park. Fish such as snapper, sea trout, redfish, bass and bluegill are abundant in the water.
In order to fish, the state of Florida requires all fishers to have the appropriate license. There is a limit of 20 fish per person at any given time. Additionally, anglers are not permitted to have more than 10 fish of the same species. Anglers are permitted four fillets of fish per person for immediate consumption on their boat or at their campsite. Commercial fishing is not allowed at any place in the park.
