Can a Ford F-150 pickup haul more weight than a Ram pickup?

The 2015 Ford F-150 pickup hauls more weight than the comparable Ram 1500 pickup model. The F-150 has an in-bed haul capacity of 3,300 lbs., whereas the Ram 1500 haul capacity is 1,900 lbs., according to Car and Driver.

The 2015 F-150 also has a higher maximum tow capacity than the Ram 1500. The F-150 can tow up to 12,200 lbs. The Ram 1500 can only tow a maximum 10,650 pounds.

The Ford F-150 pickup has been the best selling vehicle in the United States for 33 consecutive years, topping the Ram by more than 300,000 trucks sold in 2014. The Ram 1500 was the third best-selling vehicle of 2014.
