Can you give a jump start with a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer without messing it up?

All newer vehicles that operate on a standard 12V system can be used to jump-start another vehicle safely, as long as the vehicles are connected properly. High-quality jumper cables with thick insulation need to be used to prevent electrical shorts.
Connect one of the red clamps to the discharged battery and the other red clamp to the positive terminal on the jump-starting vehicle's battery. Then, connect the black clamp to the negative battery terminal on the working vehicle and the other black clamp to a clean, unpainted metal part on the discharged vehicle. Start the jump-starting vehicle, and then start the discharged vehicle. When disconnecting these cables, start with the negative terminal.
