Symptoms for grade two rectocele and cystocele do not include vulvar pain, according to Mount Sinai Hospital. Moderate to severe cases of rectocele may cause pain or pressure in the vagina and rectum and difficult passage of stool. Cystocele symptoms include urine leakage and pain in the pelvis.
Causes of rectocele and cystocele vary and include difficult vaginal birth, menopause and chronic cough or constipation, notes Mount Sinai Hospital. Vulvar pain, or vulvodynia, is common and likely stems from injury or irritation to the vulvar area or past vaginal infections, states Mayo Clinic. Hormonal fluctuations and allergies may also lead to the condition.
