According to MarineBio, the range of the great white shark extends through the Red Sea as great white sharks are found in all cold temperate and tropical oceans between 60 degrees north and 60 degrees south latitude. Great white sharks are migratory animals and cover thousands of miles each year.
The great white shark is the largest predatory fish in the world, able to reach more than 20 feet in length and a weight of at least 7,000 pounds. As apex predators, the great white shark has no natural predators although killer whales have been known to kill great whites occasionally. Great white sharks prey upon a variety of marine life, including fish, seabirds, sea turtles, seals and dolphins.
