Can Greek Orthodox priests marry?

Once a man becomes a priest, he may not marry and must take a vow of celibacy. However, if a man is already married, he can remain so and become a Greek Orthodox priest.
The Greek Orthodox Church recognizes and respects both married and unmarried priests. However, if a priest wishes to become a bishop, the church values celibacy over marriage. Therefore, bishops are chosen from the celibate priests in the church.
Unlike other religions, the Greek Orthodox Church has a more relaxed policy when it comes to priesthood. It believes that both marriage and celibacy each have a place within the Church and both can be of benefit to its priests.
