Hamsters can eat blueberries. Fresh fruits and vegetables are recommended for a hamster's diet, but in small amounts. Fruits and vegetables provide extra nutrients and can be given as treats.
Hamsters have been known to eat almost anything, and their dietary needs are easy to fulfill. They can eat anything from pieces of meat to nuts and grains; sweets, however, can be harmful and should not be given. A staple hamster diet may include grains, seeds and a form of dehydrated vegetable. Dairy products can be given as treats or in small daily portions. Any new food should be slowly introduced to a hamster's diet.
