Can dogs eat blueberries?

Blueberries are safe for dogs to eat in moderation. They are full of antioxidants, fiber and vitamin C, which makes them an ideal low-fat treat for dogs. While blueberries are non-toxic to dogs, feeding them too many can cause stomach issues, such as diarrhea.
Dogs can eat blueberries raw with no problems. However, it is best to thoroughly wash the berries to remove any chemicals or bacteria before feeding them to dogs. Frozen blueberries can also be fed to dogs as a crunchy treat. Typically, the blueberries found in human foods, such as waffles or pancakes, should not be fed to dogs due to high sugar content and other chemicals.
