Are blueberries good for dogs?

Blueberries are a good treat for dogs. The berries provide many of the same nutritional benefits for dogs that they do for humans. Antioxidants, zinc and iron are found in blueberries.
Strawberries, raspberries and blackberries are also nutritious foods for dogs. These berries provide fiber, antioxidants and vitamin C. Stewed cranberries are helpful for keeping a dog's urinary tract functioning properly. Small quantities of berries are adequate for canine nutrition.
Several types of berries, including cherries, holly berries, juniper berries, baneberries, poke berries and mistletoe berries, are potentially harmful to dogs. The large pits or chemicals in these fruits are what make them hazardous.
