Can images be inserted in web pages using HTML?

Images are placed on a Web page using the HTML img tag. Attributes added to the tag specify the location of the image file and describe the image in text.
The basic img tag contains the src and alt attributes. The src attribute contains the path to the image file, which can be on the same server or a URL that points to a different server. The alt attribute adds a text description of the image that is displayed in case the image cannot be loaded. The alt text is used by screen readers for the visually impaired and is required for accessibility purposes.
