Where can you find information on how to apply for grant money?

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, About.com, Grants.gov, Office of Community Service and the U.S. Department of Education have information available on how to apply for grant money. Grants.gov has application resources and tips available to help when applying for grants.

Before applying for a grant, one must first register either as an individual or as an organization. Once that is accomplished, a grant application package can be downloaded. Instructions on how to fill out and use the forms are in the package on the cover sheet. The completed grant application package can be submitted after carefully checking it for errors. A tracking number is provided to check the status of the grant.
