How can you find information about commissioner elections?

Within the United States, the rules and regulations applicable to the election of commissioners vary by state and are available through each state's elections division website. Elected commissioners perform legislative and executive functions at the county level.
There may be a single elected commissioner to represent a county, or there may be several commissioners. This body is referred to as the "county commission" or the "board of county commissioners." The county commission is responsible for the same functions as the mayor's office of an incorporated municipality but performs those duties county-wide, rather than within a municipality's town or city limits. Elected law enforcement officials may also hold the title of "commissioner."
